Attached is the first draft of the land use amendment application submitted to Rocky View County on October 7, 2022. The application will be proceeding to the circulation process in November to December 2022.
Attached is the Ascension Conceptual Scheme that received third reading from Rocky View County Council on September 21, 2021. The Conceptual Scheme will be added as an Appendix to the Bearspaw Area Structure Plan.
Attached is the Ascension Conceptual Scheme that received second reading from Rocky View County Council on June 15, 2021 and will be progressing through the Interim Regional Evaluation Framework (IREF) Review with the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board in Summer 2021. As per a Council Motion, updates were made to identify the connection to Bearspaw Village Road for emergency access only.
Attached is the updated Conceptual Scheme submitted to Rocky View County in Spring 2021 and is to be reviewed at Public Hearing on June 1, 2021.
The Ascension Conceptual Scheme was re-circulated to Rocky View County, Key Stakeholders and the Public in late 2020 and responses to those comments and revisions to the plan were made in early 2021. Shown here are a summary of responses to the questions and concerns received from area landowners.

Attached is the complete Conceptual Scheme submitted to Rocky View County in September 2020. As the plan is undergoing recirculation with the County and stakeholders, we welcome any additional feedback you may have, which you can send through the “Get In Touch” page of this website. Feedback for revisions to the Conceptual Scheme will be accepted until January 4, 2021.
The Project team hosted a second open house on June 7, 2017, to share our updated Draft Conceptual Scheme with our neighbours. We have reviewed all of the input received and have prepared a comprehensive What We Heard report.
